Privacy policy
Konic Labs privacy policy — how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website, submit a contact form, or email our engineering team.
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Konic Labs (“Konic Labs,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with our public website and related contact channels. It applies to visitors of this site and people who email us or submit the contact form.
We design, evaluate, and deploy compact, task-specific language models for production environments. This policy covers our marketing website and inquiry handling — not customer production systems we may operate under a separate agreement.
We do not sell personal information. We do not claim certifications or regulatory attestations on this page that we cannot support.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- Contact details you provide — such as name, email address, and message content when you submit the contact form or email hello@koniclabs.com.
- Technical data — such as IP address, browser type, device characteristics, referring URL, and pages viewed, typically collected by our hosting and network providers as part of serving and securing the site.
- Communication metadata — timestamps and delivery status related to form submissions or email correspondence.
We do not require an account to browse this website. We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data through the public site.
How information is used
We use information to:
- Respond to inquiries and evaluate whether a conversation about a production workload is appropriate
- Operate, secure, and maintain the website
- Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect our systems
- Improve site reliability and content clarity
- Comply with legal obligations when required
We do not use contact-form messages for unrelated advertising lists. If we later offer a newsletter with an explicit signup, that will be described separately and will not be implied by this policy alone.
Cookies
Our site may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to deliver the site securely (for example, infrastructure or platform cookies set by our hosting provider). We do not operate a marketing cookie consent banner for optional advertising trackers on this site at this time, because we do not run third-party advertising pixels here.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate traffic analytics provided by our hosting platform or a similar operator tool to understand which pages are visited and whether the site is healthy. Where such analytics are enabled, they are used for operations and improvement — not for selling advertising profiles.
If we add a distinct third-party analytics product later, we will update this policy to name it.
Contact form submissions
When you use the contact form, we collect the fields you submit (typically name, email, and message). A hidden anti-spam field may also be present; it is not intended for human input.
Submissions are delivered to Konic Labs through the channel configured for the deployment (for example a secure webhook or transactional email provider). If online delivery is unavailable, the site instructs you to email hello@koniclabs.com directly.
We use inquiry content only to respond and to manage the conversation you initiated.
Third-party providers
We rely on service providers to run the website and receive inquiries. Categories typically include:
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Hosting / CDN | Serve pages, assets, and application routes |
| Email or webhook delivery | Transmit contact-form submissions to our inbox or workflow |
| Infrastructure security | Protect against abuse, DDoS, and unauthorized access |
Providers process data under their own terms and only as needed to perform services for us. We do not authorize them to use your inquiry content for their own marketing.
Data retention
We retain contact correspondence and related records for as long as needed to respond, maintain a business record of the inquiry, and meet legal or security requirements. Technical logs are retained according to our providers’ defaults and our operational needs, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required.
If you ask us to delete inquiry records where we can do so without conflicting legal obligations, we will take reasonable steps to do so.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a public marketing site and inquiry channel — including HTTPS transport and access controls on systems that receive messages. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email hello@koniclabs.com with enough detail for us to verify and respond.
We will respond within a reasonable period. Some requests may be limited by law or by our need to retain records of a business conversation you started.
Children
This website is intended for business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date on this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after an update means you should review the revised policy.
